Setting goals is an excellent way to define a pathway for our future and propel us toward who we are and what we want. Yet, in the process of creating goals we often turn them into heavy expectations that burden us, lead to procrastination and fizzle out in disappointment.
As you define your goals…
1.) Consider how you can enjoy the process as you create your vision.
2.) Connect with the feelings you believe accomplishing your goal will create and bring them into each moment, TODAY.
3.) Allow your goals to flow with your life versus control it.
4.) Avoid words such as, “should”, “have to”, “supposed to” and use “want to”, “willing to”, “choose to” instead.
5.) If you find you’ve “fallen off track”, re-evaluate the goal and/or simply “begin again”.
Each day, take just one small step in their direction and include lots of praise and encouragement as you do. Before you know it you’ll be movin and groovin!

I really like this entry because it reminds me to celebrate myself as I take small steps toward my goals. One of my goals is to coach more clients one on one. I do so much group facilitation that I lose touch with the amazing energy of working with someone individually. I will remind myself to refocus on coaching or simply not forget how important it is to me. Thanks for the ideas.
Take care,
Guy
Hi I met you in the So. Bay at your outdoor fair some years ago thanx for continuing to E-mail me over time. I enjoy making a dream board to post my goals on. I use a large three fold type one, this allows me to cut and glue stick my cut out magazine pixs, and make my
vision’s as large as I like, its powerful. As I accomplish my goals I remove the images from the board and reuse those spaces for new goals. I use every space the middle space has motivational quotes and long term goals these don’t change to often. The flip side has mainstay type goals like vacations, decor ideas.
