President Obama recently issued an Executive Order establishing the National Prevention, Health Promotion, and Public Health Council. Within the council there will be an Advisory Group appointed which will develop policy and program recommendations and advise the Council on lifestyle-based chronic disease prevention and management, integrative health care practices, and health promotion.
I am hoping that you will agree that a Naturopathic Doctor should be part of this Advisory Group. The AANP has nominated CNDA past president, Dr. Tara Levy for appointment to the advisory group. We are asking for your support for this appointment by taking action a couple of ways:
1) Please take a minute to write a letter to your representatives and the President. This can easily be done by using the convenient CapWiz link below, which will take you to a pre-written letter that you can personalize and it will automatically go to your representatives based on your address.
2) Please inform your friends and family about this issue and ask them to write letters as well.
President Obama believes in grassroots campaigning and so we need you to write him now and share your stories about how naturopathic medicine changes lives – and the need to have the perspective of a committed doctor who can contribute to the development of public policy because she does this work every day.
