wow. i truly can’t imagine experiencing the loss of a child. i’m so sorry. ((( hug )))
i believe that our children need to experience an entire range of emotion… seeing you go through the grief of their brother’s loss was probably a good thing. if you hadn’t shown your grief, it could have caused them to question their own.

love that you have moved through such a challenging time. and, love that we have connected.

What a great message! It’s so important for Mom’s to be fulfilled and happy, as it does have a big impact on everyone around them, especially their children. After losing my 19 year old son, my three other children were watching me like a hawk, so I knew I had to get through my grief and find what it was that truly would bring out the best in me so I could shower my children with happiness, love and teach them to also find their passions.

Thanks for sharing you video Susan, it brought a tear to my eye!

good morning Susan,

Thank you for taking the time to record the quote – I love how our emotions ‘rise up’ when the topic is about or impacts our kids. My two boys are so awesome! young teenagers and I purposefully try to guide them towards exploring their options and their passions.

Listening to your video reminds me that MY ACTIONS will also guide them – whether I intend it to or not. I can talk until I’m blue in the face – and yet showing them by actions and living my life to its fullest, with passion, and commitment will soak further into their brain.

I love this perspective, Rupa… that children are God’s way of showing us our true potential.
So many of my clients, who are Mom’s, have told me that once they had children they actually took more control over their lives.
That their children motivated them to be even better than they thought they could be.
So often, what we can not… or will not… do for ourselves, we will do for the sake of our children.

Wow, this is such a powerful and valuable message, Susan. So true – moms have to watch the way they live(or unlive), because it impacts their children and as a result an entire generation. I’ve often thought that children are Nature(God/Supreme Power)’s way of showing us our true potential and how we can be what we never would have imagined…I may never have believed I was capable of this much unconditional love, compassion and patience had it not been for my daughter. Your video is a great reminder of how important/necessary it is for Moms to stay positive, confident, grateful and happy. Thanks for bringing us these wonderful messages.

I still think on that “article” she wrote about Martin Luther King and the dreams she has.
And, look at her… going to school abroad… in Paris.

Wow Susan, You’ve truly struck a chord!

As my daughter is now a young adult, I start to see some of the influences my “living” has had on her… They really do mirror much of how we move through the world, don’t they?

And although my daughter happens to be pretty awesome (I’m slightly biased), I not only notice positive influences, but some negative ones as well.

That is why your message and your gift to empower women is so VITAL! AND, it’s never too late…. it’s imperative.

There have too many times, even now that I want to play it safe and stay in my comfort zone, now with this message, I can remember how that might impact Nicole…
