This video quote was inspired by Piero Ferrucci. Here I talk about why it is a good idea “to do something that makes you feel insecure.” Watch and find out how.

Great message Susan.
One of the things I recently did that excited me but made me feel uncomfortable as well was start an online radio show. I had hesitated at first because I had disempowering thoughts like “What if I don’t know what to say? What if I sound dumb? What if.. blah blah blah?” But fortunately my desire to meet new people and create a platform where successful businesses could share their success stories to inspire others was stronger.
Now having interviewed several individuals, I know that it was the best decision I made. I am having so much fun.
My next step that is a stretch for me is to create video messages.
Nat
p.s. If you’re interested, here is the link to my radio show, http://www.blogtalkradio.com/prosperitylighthouse
Okay, I’m going to go ahead and call the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco this morning, to see if they’ll sponsor my org for a meeting in March. Yes, it’s out of the ordinary for me to do, yes, I’ll feel insecure, and yes, I think they’ll do it — but I’ve got to ask. Putting myself out there will also move me forward towards the goal of helping to stimulate public debate about how best to re-regulate the financial sector of the economy.
Great quote Susan,
I love to dance and my “Continuum” movement class gives me wonderful opportunities to move in authentic ways and shake up my old movement routines. I feel so free, expanded after the classes. I love the experience of moving my body and feeling an openness both in my muscles and in my thinking – total shift.
Love your blogs.

The timing of this video could not have been more perfect! As I expand my business online, there have been MANY steps along the way that have felt really uncomfortable… The last one was the the first video I made for my blog about how to make Manhattan Fish Chowder LOL! It was completely imperfect, but I did it.
I am feeling excited about the process, and looking forward to doing more. (tomorrow as a matter of fact lol)
I am so glad I did it, and I’d have to say the majority of the feedback has been really positive but I did have kind of slightly snarky feedback that kind of felt a little bitey, you know what I mean. I really had to process it and let it go… I’d say it’s almost gone. It’s funny how some people may react when they see you trying to grow and expand…
I like the idea of getting out of your comfort zone and seeing things with fresh eyes.
Thanks so much for your continued wisdom Susan.
XOXO Dianne
First of all, thanks for the link and second of all, you couldn’t be more right!
When we step out of our comfort zone and we don’t get all the “lift you up” kind of feedback, this only presents us with more opportunity for growth. Thanks for that reminder.
My yoga teacher and dear friend reminds us often that “It’s none of our business what other people think about us” sometimes a hard one to fully wrap my head around especially when it’s when we are nursing the sting of snark!

Susan, thanks for your note. I created a script, practice, got up the nerve and called and … The SF Federal Reserve Bank’s economic research department will be sponsoring our March luncheon. I just need to confirm with his assistant, and I can send out the announcements. It’s amazing what can happen when you put yourself out there!
I’m not an active blogger, but I’m very active on Twitter: http://twitter.com/annewenzel

Following Anne on twitter… Hi Anne!
This evening was the first time ever that I have been laid-off from a job. The company had a merger, and the news wasn’t really a complete surprise. I had been looking for alternate employment over the past couple of months, anticipating this outcome. However, the pickings are slim to none with a 9.5% unemployment rate; and with the status of a “mature” worker, I’m definitely, definitely out of my comfort zone!
Hi Susan, I attended one of your first workshops several years back. I have received your email blasts ever since and have utilized the thoughts and recommendations along the way. Thank you for making these available to us. You can’t always know how your life touches us who are not in your immediate circle; the ripples extend out further than you may think. Keep up the great work!! Susan
